So I finished A Farewell to Arms yesterday. I was a bit disappointed by the ending (though knowing Hemingway, I shouldn’t have been.) I believe my Goodreads review was something along the lines of ‘ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH‘.

I’m about a third of the way through David Copperfield, and I’m enjoying it so far.

On the writing front, I’ve been working on getting some last applications in, a couple of which required a Critical Analysis to be submitted as well. I didn’t have one of those on hand, so I spent a couple of days composing an analysis of the Unreliable Narrator in Poe’s The Black Cat.

I’ve also been drafting a short story to submit to an anthology. I’m about a third of the way into that as well…. or 3000 words out of a goal of 10,000. If it doesn’t get chosen for the anthology, I’ll post excerpts of it here.

I’m getting back into my long-neglected novel. I’ve just passed the 60,000 word mark there and hope to devote more time to it in the coming weeks and months.

And now for the song part! Two tracks have been on repeat this past week.

The first is Rubenstein’s Melody in F.

The second is Canon in D by Pachelbel
